La Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec

The Duval Orthopaedic Clinic is happy to give its financial support to young athletes who do well in collective sports. Its purpose is to encourage them to be leaders in their own field and as well leaders in their community. The Duval Orthopaedic Clinic brings its share to the leadership program in connection with the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec since 2010. It has committed for a $60,000 investment in three years.

In 2010 the scholarships went to Fiona Fitzgibbon (water-polo), Rachel Fréchette (synchronized swimming), Olivier Jannini (volleyball) and Mariam Sylla (Basketball).

In 2011 the scolarships went to Annie Coulombe (table tennis), Fiona Fitzgibbon (water-polo), Rachel Fréchette (synchronized swimming), Nicholas Hoag (volleyball), Mariam Sylla (Basketball) and Christian Toth (handball).

La Division d’orthopédie de l’Université Laval

Dr Nicolas Duval and the Duval Orthopaedic Clinic are regular contributors for many years to the Orthopaedic Division of the Medical Faculty at Laval University. That money permits the betterment of teaching for the residents in connection with their program.

La Maison des enfants de l’Ile de Montréal

La Maison des enfants de l’île de Montréal is a non profit corporation for the benefit of children from 5 to 12 years, and also their parents, their family and people who work with them. It incorporates students from various callings in view of working with children. It serves as a traninig school for more than a hundred each year who help toward the life of La Maison and so multiplicate in their own area of life.

Dr Nicolas Duval is president of the board of directors and he is the responsable officer for the finance committee.
