At the Duval Orthopaedic Clinic, our story begins with a bold decision—one that changed the course of private orthopedic care in Canada. In 2002, Dr. Nicolas Duval, after years of dedication as an orthopedic surgeon within Quebec’s public health care system, took a leap toward a more accessible and patient-focused model of care. Together with his partner, Dr. Pauline Lavoie, they have helped make Clinique Duval a model for private healthcare in Canada.

A Legacy of Leadership in Orthopaedics

Today, Clinique Duval remains the only private surgical facility in Canada dedicated to hip and knee replacement, with a hospitalization capacity of more than 24 hours.

A New Generation of Excellence

In 2021, a new chapter began. As Dr. Duval and Dr. Lavoie prepared for a well-earned retirement, they passed the torch to longtime collaborators: Dr. Vendittoli, Dr. Lavigne, Dr. Massé and Dr. Kiss. Together, they continue to uphold and advance the clinic’s legacy as a center of excellence in joint replacement and enhanced recovery.
